In 2019, Jace's Journey launched its inaugural 5K and Fun Run as a way to honor our son, Jace Alexander, and to raise awareness about the devastating impact of maternal health disparities, especially in communities of color. After our personal tragedy in 2018, where we lost Jace and faced life-threatening complications during childbirth, we felt compelled to act.

Our mission is deeply rooted in the desire to prevent similar tragedies for other families. The Jace's Journey 5K was created to bring people together—to run, walk, and remember while raising crucial funds for education, advocacy, and support for families affected by pregnancy and infant loss. This annual event symbolizes the power of community and our shared commitment to improving maternal health outcomes, especially around stillbirth and maternal mortality.

Through the 5K, we continue to build awareness, foster healing, and inspire action, turning our grief into a force for change.
